Grave Yd. is a rectangular burial ground in County Laois where a low earthen mound rises beneath post-1700 AD headstones. The stone wall encloses thirty-five metres of north-south memory and twenty-one metres of east-west quiet. People may have chosen the mound because it marked the land before written names arrived.
