What is recorded here

Half a kilometre east of the townland road, a rectangular grave yard holds the dead of Mogeely beneath a ruined parish church. Headstones inscribed from 1768 and a plaque dated 1700 mark the continuity of burial, while a stone-faced bank and roadside wall keep the place separate from the living route. It remains in use, not as a relic but as a neighbour, where the church ruins stand at the centre and the graves extend outward like rooms in a house that never stopped receiving visitors.

On E side of road; roughly rectangular graveyard (c. 70m E-W; c. 35m N-S) with inscribed headstones dating from 1768, though plaque dated 1700 in annexe on N side of ruined parish church of Mogeely (CO046-008002-) which stands at centre of graveyard.
