Grave Yard

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Grave Yard is a roughly square graveyard in County Limerick, Ireland, where only the west end of Crecora Church still stands inside its west quadrant. A post-1700 stone wall encloses the place, with an entrance gate set at the centre of the west wall. The surviving church end and broad buried ground suggest a long local continuity of worship, death and memory beside one another.
Only the W end of Crecora Church (LI022-009001-) stands in the W quadrant of a roughly square shaped graveyard (approx. dims. 79m N-S x 79m E-W) enclosed by a post-1700 stone wall with entrance gate at centre of W wall. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 02 January 2019
