Grave Yard in County Meath holds the lost church of Clongill inside a rectangular stone box about sixty metres long. Dopping’s Visitation in 1682-5 found it tolerably fenced, while James Trynch still lies at the eastern edge near the boundary with Arch Hall. The stones have watched the fields change for centuries, keeping the names and shapes that memory tends to smooth away.

The site of the medieval parish church of Clongill (ME017-018----) is within a rectangular graveyard (dims c. 60m E-W; c. 40m N-S) defined largely by masonry walls, but the E side incorporates the townland boundary with Arch Hall. According to Dopping's Visitation (1682-5) the graveyard was 'tolerably fenced with stone' at that time (Ellison 1973, 6).
