What is recorded here

No visible wreck remains at Broughty Castle Rock. The name and location preserve a small trading vessel lost in the busy Tay estuary during the twentieth century. The rock still marks a narrow sea route where Dundee traffic climbed toward the North Sea, and the chamber still carries the risk that killed or damaged smaller boats.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Grace: Broughty Castle Rock, Outer Tay Estuary, North Sea as Lugger (20th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
