Glamis Castle is the unbroken home of the Lyon and Bowes-Lyon families since 1372, holding the childhood rooms of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and the birthplace of Princess Margaret. The house sits beside a mile-long daffodil avenue and an arboretum of ancient trees, yet shadows remain because Malcolm II was murdered there in 1034 and Shakespeare placed Macbeth inside these walls. It is a living royal residence where prehistoric stones, royal blood and fictional darkness still circle the same valley.
