The *Girona* was a Spanish sailing vessel, part of the Spanish Armada, wrecked off the Scottish coast in 1588 during the failed invasion of England. It was lost with significant loss of life and cargo, and its remains are historically significant as part of the broader Armada narrative in Scottish waters.
