This blue commemorative plaque records: Telephone kiosk circa 1927 (pavement nearby) K4 style "The Vermillion Giant" Designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott Only fifty were made and this is believed to be one of only four examples known to survive Listed - Grade II Recorded plaque organisation: Frodsham Heritage Economic Regeneration Scheme.
Sir Giles Gilbert Scott OM RA was a prominent British architect known for his versatile designs including churches, power stations, and the iconic red telephone boxes; the K4 telephone kiosk is a notable example of his work that significantly shaped modern British architecture and public design.
