Giants Grave is a court tomb in County Mayo, Ireland, where massive stones still mark the edge of a forgotten burial chamber. It belongs to the megalithic age, long before written records, when people shaped stone with muscle and patience. The name suggests a giant, but the chamber may have held an ordinary person whose family believed death required a monument large enough to be remembered. Standing beside it, the grass and sky make the stones look like a room waiting for a guest who left before history began.
