What is recorded here
Butler's Bridge still stands beside Giants Grave, though the tomb has lost most of its west wall and perhaps its roof. The remaining east stones form a narrow gallery pointing NNW-SSE, with one taller northern marker and a skewed southern stone that may have closed the chamber. The absence is not empty; it is the shape of what left the site.
Sited on a slight rise close to the village of Butler's Bridge. A gallery, open at both ends and orientated NNW-SSE, is 6m long and 1.6m wide. Five contiguous stones form the E side but only one orthostat remains on the opposite side. The northern stone at E, 1.95m high, is 0.5m or more taller than the other stones. The southern stone at E is skewed inward suggesting that the gallery may have ended here. There are three prostrate stones at the site. (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 118-9, No. 18)

Neolithic passage tomb, dating to approximately 3500–2500 BCE. Its orientation and structural remains suggest it was part of a broader ritual landscape in the Boyne Valley region.
