What is recorded here
Giants Grave is a broken megalthic gallery near the top of a Cavan ridge, its stones scattered across pasture after centuries of neglect. Two entrance stones still stand apart in the mud, marking a chamber that once held dead people and memory. The grade has softened the edges, but the alignment remains clear, pointing southwest to northeast as if still waiting for someone to walk through.
Situated near the top of a ridge in undulating pasture. Poorly-preserved, the remains appear to be those of a gallery, at least 4.20m long, aligned SW-NE. Two orthostats, 1.40m apart at the SW, may mark the gallery entrance. A third orthostat alongside the southern of these may have formed part of a flat facade. A sidestone stands 1.70m E of the northern entrance stone. A number of displaced stones lie close to the structure which is surrounded by a small, low mound. The tomb must remain unclassified though there are indications that it may be a wedge-tomb.

Portal dolmen; likely dates to the Neolithic period (c. 4000–2500 BCE). Its alignment and structural features suggest ritual or funerary use, typical of megalithic traditions in western Europe.
