Squared rubble limestone boundary walls, built c.1835, with ashlar coping. Accessed through round-headed arch with flanking piers having cornice above. Flanked by pedestrian gates with ashlar limestone surrounds. Double and single cast- and wrought-iron gates to openings. Theses entrances are protected by gun loops in a flanking wall.

These substantial defensive walls formerly protected the Royal Irish Constabulary Barracks. The classical entrances are of high architectural design. The defensive nature of the wall, particularly the use of gun loops, is unusual within the context of Trim where the architecture is predominantly domestic or commercial.
