Built in the mid nineteenth century, this ashlar limestone retaining wall occupies an elevated location in the urban landscape, and is visible from many parts of the city. This wall of interest for it's civil engineering value, and also for the skill and craftsmanship which were involved in it's construction.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
