What is recorded here

Reinforced concrete retaining wall, c.1900, with cast-iron mooring bollards.
This section of retaining wall is of interest for its associations with the now derelict warehouse to north-west (11810053/KD-17-10-53), and attests to the continued expansion of the industrialisation of Rathangan in the late nineteenth/early twentieth century. The construction in reinforced concrete is an early example in the locality of Rathangan and is of some technical or engineering merit.
