On a slight rise in a low-lying landscape with lower ground to the E and S. There are the foundations of a gateway (Wth of passage 3m; L 9m) straddling the centre of the NW wall of the bawn (RO050-019003-) of Cloonbigny tower house (RO050-019001-).
