What is recorded here
Two stones stand knee-high on a sun-warmed slope above the Glashagloragh river, aligned like a whispered secret rather than a grand monument. They are small enough to touch, close enough to compare, yet old enough to belong before memory. A stone row waits two hundred metres west, suggesting this is not an isolated marker but a path of visibility. Gallauns does not demand awe; it invites attention, holding its shape in pasture and light while the river moves below.
On pasture on S-facing slope overlooking Glashagloragh river. Stones, aligned ENE-WSW, stand 1.2m apart; overall length 3.2m. NE stone is 0.8m L, 0.5m T and 1.2m H. SW stone is 1m L, 0.6m T and 1.55m H. Stone row (CO121-036---) 200m to WNW. (O Nualláin 1988, 247, no. 132)
