What is recorded here

Gallaun stands as a two-metre rectangular pillar on a south-facing Cork slope, aligned slightly east of true north. It is the kind of place where a lost person might have tied a horse, marked a boundary or watched the solstice shadow shorten across grass. The stone does not need a grand claim; it preserves the moment when human attention first touched that exact line of sky and earth.
