What is recorded here

No visible chamber, no central cavity, no hidden room. A tall upright stone on the Iveragh Peninsula, standing inside a much younger fort. The fort took the stone into its own story. The stone continued its older one. Gallaun is not a building. It is a marker that outlived every hand that tried to explain it.

On SW foothills of Sugarloaf Mountain overlooking Bantry Bay to S. Rectangular stone aligned ENE-WSW (H 2.6m; 1.05m x 0.35m).
