What is recorded here

Gallaun is a fallen standing stone in County Cork, Ireland. It lies hidden in rough grazing on a south-west slope, without visible surface trace. The second edition map marked the adjacent western field, while the first edition missed the location entirely. Human hands may have raised the stone before gravity took it back, but no record preserves that act.

In rough grazing on SSW-facing slope. No visible surface trace. Possible mislocation rectified rectified on 2nd ed. map as fallen standing stone (CO127-016---), in adjoining field to W, is marked 'Gallaun' on OS 2nd ed. map but not on OS 1st ed. map.
