Gallaun

This stone pair is located in flat pastureland, overlooking Rossbehy Creek to N. The larger stone, at NE, is partly incorporated into a modern field boundary. Irregular in elevation, it stands 2.85m high and measures 1.8m x .8m at base; NE-SW. The second upright, whose upper surface has recently been damaged, occurs 2.9m to SW. It measures .75m high and .6m x .55m at base; NE-SW. Only one 'Gallaun' is indicated on the OS maps. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
