Gallaun is a broken standing stone on a marshy rise beside Lough Currane in County Kerry, Ireland. Its upper portion lies at its base, suggesting the cliff fell rather than vanished. The stone still marks the edge of human memory, waiting for someone to walk up from the water and admit what it showed them.

This standing stone is situated on a small rise in marshy land, about 200m from the S shore of Lough Currane. Regular in elevation, it stands 2m high and measures 1m x .62m at base; N-S. It is broken, and what appears to be its upper portion lies at its base. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
