Gallaun

Two stones, one prostrate, are located on a prominent rise in a marshy area about 370m W of the Blackwater river. Triangular in basal section, the upright stone stands 2.45m high and tapers slightly towards a flat top. It measures .8m x .47m at base; NNE-SSW. The prostrate slab lies in dense overgrowth 1.5m to N, and measures 2.5m long and 1.35m wide (Ó Nualláin 1988,250). The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
