What is recorded here

Gallaun is a tall standing stone in Glanleam, County Kerry, trapped inside a much younger fortification called Cromwell's Fort. The prehistoric upright predates the earthly structure by millennia, creating a layered collision where ancient stone accepts a later human boundary. Chatterton shook the loose monument in 1839, yet a leaning slab and packing stones now hold it upright against the Iveragh wind.
