What is recorded here

Gallaun is a lost standing stone on a Kerry ridge, buried beneath forestry and silence. It may have marked a boundary, a burial, or a warning to travellers crossing from Foilclogh to the Inny river. The trees grew over its purpose, but the ridge still holds the shape of what was forgotten.

A stone designated ‘Gallaun’ is shown on the OS maps at this location. Sited on a ridge between Foilclogh mountain and the Inny river, the area is now under forestry and the monument could not be located.
