What is recorded here

Gallán is a vanished standing stone buried beneath pasture on a southeast-facing slope in County Cork. It may have marked a boundary, a burial or a meeting place before the grass swallowed it. The land still holds the shape of that choice, waiting for someone to listen without digging.

In pasture, on SE-facing slope. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
