What is recorded here

Gallán was a single standing stone in Cork pasture, visible only on a 1938 map before disappearing without a surface trace. It may have marked a boundary, a burial or a forgotten promise, but human hands or time erased even its shadow. What remains is an absence shaped like a stone, waiting for someone to remember why it stood.
