Gallan stood six feet high in a Cork pasture until removal around 1984, joining three nearby stones on a sloping field. Broker measured its five-foot girth in 1937, capturing a marker that resisted cartography despite appearing on neither the 1842 nor 1904 maps. Its disappearance erased a visible anchor for the cluster, leaving only the written measurement to prove the stones once crowded the land.
