What is recorded here

Galláin is a pair of standing stones in County Cork, aligned north-northeast to south-southwest at the foot of Mount Gabriel. The larger stone reaches 1.5m, the smaller 1.35m, separated by 1.4m of grass. They may have marked a boundary, a meeting place or a warning about the mountain above. Whatever they measured, they still point the same direction, unchanged since before written memory.

In level pasture on E side of small valley, at SE foot of Mount Gabriel. Stones, aligned NNE-SSW, stand 1.4m apart; overall length 3.65m. NE stone is 1.3m L, 0.4m T and 1.5m H.
