What is recorded here
Kilfinane, County Limerick, is the birthplace of Gabriel Rosenstock, the Irish writer who gave his life to poetry, translation and the Irish language. He was the third of six children and the first born in Ireland, arriving in 1949 to a household where a German doctor father and a Galway nurse mother mixed cultures before he ever held a pen. That small village gave him roots, while Dublin and Cork shaped his voice, and his work carried those contradictions into haiku, drama and books for children.
