In marshy ground. Stream, shown on 1938 OS 6-inch map to NE, diverted through site. Burnt material visible in section in new channel; no mound remained. Subsequent destruction of site noted in 1992 due to further drainage works. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
