Fulacht fia in Poulnabrucky

On a ridge in rocky scrub beside a spring well and within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL009-227004-). Noted by Tom Coffey c. 1994 (SMR file). A fulacht fia comprising a mound of burnt limestone and ash (7.2m NNW-SSE; 6-8.5m ENE-WSW; H 1.2m), with evidence for troughs at the NNW and ESE. The NNW trough is defined by a protruding stone (L 1.25m; H 0.55m; T 0.06m) with a slight depression to its S. The ESE trough is legible as a slight depression.  A temporary stream curves around the E and SE sides of the monument.
