Fulacht fia in Palmerstown

In low-lying marshland. When visited in July 1992, this fulacht fia consisted the remains of a horseshoe-shaped mound (10m N-S; 3m E-W; H 0.6m) opening to the W. It was defined by two low grass-covered mounds partially connected at E by a low rise. The trough area, trapezoidal in plan, was 3m wide at the mouth and narrowed to 1.3m at the back.
