Fulacht fia in Letter (dunkerron South By.) — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

No visible evidence of heat on the stone mound, but a crescent of fire-shattered rock and blackened earth opens west toward Dunkerron. The shape suggests water heated by stone, perhaps for cooking, cleaning or ritual, though the purpose has faded. What remains is a broken circle of heat, waiting to be read.

Located at the W end of the complex is a fulacht fiadh (KE083-088002-) of crescentic shape, 8.9m N-S x 7m E-W. The mound is open to W, where a central depression measures 2.2m x 1.8m. It is composed of fire-shattered stone and blackened earth. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
