What is recorded here
Scattered within this area are a number of roughly built, subcircular enclosures, which average 5m in diameter. Some are encircled by shallow ditches and may have functioned as fionnán enclosures (KE083-088001-).
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 57. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
