Fortane Beg holds a massive horseshoe of burnt stone and clay, its open mouth facing the stream that fed the ancient baths. Four ash trees and a hawthorn still mark the southern edge, witnessing the heat and water that once transformed the raw earth. The mound stretches nearly eighteen metres across the pasture, preserving the physical effort of people who shaped stone, fire and flow into a place for cleaning or gathering.

At the NW corner of a fairly level field in pasture and just c. 6m E of a stream. A large grassed-over horseshoe-shaped mound (17.9m N-S) with light poaching at N revealing very compacted burnt stone and clay. The fulacht is open (3.45m NE-SW; 7.5m NW-SE) to the WSW. The bank dips for c. 6.5m at NE. Four ash trees and one hawthorn grow on the S end of the mound. An unclassified megalithic tomb (CL035-146----) lies c. 140m to the W.
