Fulacht fia in Claggan (dunfanaghy Ed)

The site appears as a grassed-over mound, crescentic in plan, measuring c. 12m N-S and c. 7m E-W and c. 1m in height. The in-curved front of the mound faces NE. It is located in a marshy area and two streams flow closeby, one to the N and the other to the S. It is situated on a gentle NE to SW downwards slope, in wet pasture, and is overlooked by high ground to the N and S.
