What is recorded here
An irregular mound (c. 5m E-W; c. 4m N-S) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal was excavated in 2002 prior to the construction of a housing estate (Kiely 2004c, 218). The mound overlay a trough, which had nine stake-holes cut into its base, and a pit (ibid.).
