What is recorded here

A fulacht fia was recorded in this townland at ITM 540074, 672390 (pers. comm. T. Coffey, SMR file) and listed in the RMP (1996). There was no visible trace of the monument when this location and the surrounding area were inspected in November 2017 nor was there any evidence that the monument had been removed (pers. comm. Frank Coyne, Aegis Archaeology). It would appear that in this instance the locational information provided was incorrect due to a transfer from small to large scale mapping.
