Francesco Scarlatti

Francesco Scarlatti died in County Dublin, Ireland after leaving Naples and London behind. He spent decades in Palermo composing vocal works for courts and churches, yet history preserved him mainly through a lost concerto found much later. His life moved from Sicilian controversy to English concerts and finally Irish exile, preserving the memory of a musician who kept changing addresses while music followed him everywhere.
