Four standing stones in Clagan, County Derry, may be the remains of a megalithic tomb from the prehistoric period. They still point toward the buried chamber even though earth and time have taken most of the structure. People may have gathered there to mark death, season or ownership of the land. The stones keep that purpose hidden, but they still occupy the field like a sentence broken in half.
