What is recorded here
Emlyn Grammar School in Newcastle Emlyn taught local children through the 19th Century. Water Street still holds the shape of that purpose, even if the classroom fire has gone cold. Boys and girls may have sat beneath its roof, learning to read the wide world through small books. The building remains a marker for the town’s belief in young minds.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Former Emlyn Grammar School, Water Street, Newcastle Emlyn as Grammar School from the 19th Century period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
