Donadea Demesne holds two fonts, one inside the church porch and one outside in the graveyard. The indoor font is an octagonal granite basin set on a seventeenth-century column, small enough for a child to reach across yet large enough for a whole village to gather around. The indoor font has no central drain hole, so water given to a new life may have stayed inside the stone instead of disappearing into the earth.
