What is recorded here
In reclaimed pasture, immediately E of the townland boundary with Goatisland and N of townland boundary with Ballybeg north. An enclosure (LI040-047002-) lies in the NW corner and two groups of barrows (LI040-049001/011-; LI040-048001-/048006-) lie to the SE and NE respectively. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Identified as linear cropmarks perpendicular to each other of a possible field system during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/50000 2549) taken 03/11/1984 on the Bórd Gáis Éireann gas pipeline. No surface remains visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimages. These linear cropmarks probably represent drainage or land reclamation works associated with the landscaping of the lands of Greenpark House.
See attached aerial photograph from Bórd Gáis Éireann gas pipeline and Google Earth orthoimages.
