What is recorded here
Situated on a level landscape on the S side of a small canalised E-W stream. A small area (dims c. 60m N-S; c. 30m E-W) has three rows of sunken grass-covered ponds or ditches (dims of top c. 10-15m x c. 3-4m; D 0.1-0.2m), the most westerly obscured by growth from a N-S field bank. There are two to three of these sunken areas in each row that were probably used for the retting of flax.
