What is recorded here

Kilkea Lower holds a ghost farm where shadow and soil still touch. A round house stood inside a crescent of fields, perhaps a family estate rather than a passive ruin. The chamber may have listened, waited or watched the land that surrounded it.

Aerial photographs (CUCAP AYL 62-63) show a cropmark of circular enclosure (est max diam. c. 45m) with possible entrance at the E. A cresentic field or enclosure (KD038-010002-) encircles the site at the S, W and N (est overall diam. c. 65m), with second field (KD038-010003-) attached at the SW.
