Clearwater: 30m curvilinear stone wall, collapsed and bog-smothered, separates dry western grazing from eastern bog. It marks the eastern edge of a whole cluster of ancient fields, drawing a visible line between usable land and swallowed ground. Tony Miller walked it in January 2013, perhaps feeling the wall as a threshold where human order ended and bog memory began.

This relict field boundary was reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland by Tony Miller on 28th January 2013. He describes it as follows: "This is a long, curvilinear section of ancient field wall running roughly in a northwest to east direction. At least 50m of this wall is visible built of roughly grouped field stones now in a collapsed state and overgrown by bog. To the west of it the ground is a drier rough grazing while to the east of it the ground is much boggier. It does appear to be on the eastern boundary of the better land of all the sites described above (CO093-097---- to CO093-102----). Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 31 January 2013
