Field boundary in Raheens

In rough, rush-covered hill grazing on bog, on the lower SW-facing slopes of Caunoge Mountain. The remains of several stretches of relict field walls (T 0.65m; H 0.4m) protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog in a roughly rectangular area (c. 165m E-W; c. 110m N-S). The walls occur in the general area to the SW, W and NW of a hut site (KE080-026----). Occasional taller stones (H up to 1m) occur in the walls and many of the slab-type stones are set at right angles to the line of the walls.
