Field boundary in Derrymihin West — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Half a metre of ancient wall rises through black bog, marking a forgotten field beside a cairn while Bere Island watches from across the water. People may have tended sheep, buried a loved one or simply drawn a line between their own land and the wide hill. The field has vanished, but its border still cuts through the pasture, proving that the place was once shaped and remembered.

In rough hill pasture, in cutaway bog, with a view over Berehaven Harbour, Bere Island and the surrounding mountain landscape. Turf-cutting has exposed the remains of relict stone field boundaries (T 0.5m; H 0.4m) in a general N-S direction on both sides of a cairn (CO115-091001-). These field boundaries cover an area measuring c. 120m N-S x c. 30m E-W. Many stones are set at right angles to the line of the wall.
