Moyfenrath Lower By. is a field boundary on a prominent hillock in Bellewstown, County Meath. A ditch one and a half metres wide and thirty centimetres deep cut through brown clay, while a bank a metre wide and forty centimetres high rose on the west side. The contrast suggests people shaped the hilltop for drainage or ownership rather than leaving it untouched.

Situated on top of a prominent hillock and at the E edge the hilltop mound (ME036-034----). Archaeological excavation (99E0520) revealed portion of a fosse or ditch (Wth of top 1.5m; D 0.3m) that was filled with a brown clay and had a bank (Wth 1m plus: H 0.4m at E) on the W side. This is interpreted as a field bank and drain (Murphy 1999, 9; 2000, 232).
