Fairy fort in Toorclogher is a circular cashel, not a fantasy claim. It stands on a NW-facing ridge in County Galway, its drystone wall reduced to a low ring around level ground. The small mound east of centre may have marked a doorway, a hearth or a buried chamber. Cattle still move through the pasture above it, unaware they graze the remains of a place people shaped before writing reached the valley.

On NW-facing slope of a ridge in pastureland. Poorly preserved circular cashel (diam. 27.7m) defined by a drystone wall (base Wth 1.8-3m; Wth at top 0.9-1.1m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.55m).
